Aramco Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Aramco, manages multiple venture capital programs with a total AUM of $7 billion. The firm operates through three primary funds: the Sustainability Fund, the Digital/Industrial Fund, and the Prosperity7 Fund. The mission of the strategic venturing program (Sustainability and Industrial Funds) is to invest globally into start-up and high-growth companies with technologies of strategic importance to Aramco, to accelerate their development and deployment in Aramco’s operations. The Prosperity7 program invests in disruptive technologies and business models outside of the energy industry to provide financial return and diversification opportunities for the company. They aim to be a value-adding strategic investor. With an in-house business development team, they actively support portfolio companies in doing business with Aramco and accessing the Saudi Arabian and regional MENA market, including facilitating technical collaboration, piloting, business development, and accessing technical and operational expertise. They leverage Aramco’s extensive network of business partners, influencers, and access to capital. The Sustainability Fund supports Aramco's ambitions to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions across its wholly-owned operated assets by 2050, development of new lower-carbon fuels businesses, and furthering Aramco’s broader environmental objectives. The Digital/Industrial Fund focuses on digital & industrial technologies that can add value to Aramco’s operations. The Prosperity7 fund invests in highly scalable ventures, led by world-class management teams, with disruptive technologies and business models, outside of the energy sector. Aramco Ventures emphasizes a professional and collaborative approach, working with founders, management teams, and co-investors to add value to their portfolio, seek win-win outcomes, and develop long-term relationships. They invest across the capital stack, from early stage to growth stage. They also selectively make smaller seed investments in promising early-stage companies and partner with 3rd party fund managers and other corporates in sectors and geographies of interest.
