Yes. GRID has a free tier that gives you 5 Quick Score pitch analyses (lifetime) and 5 VC matches per month. You can upgrade to the Founder plan (€9/month) or Pro plan (€29/month) for higher limits and access to premium features like DIALECTIC and the financial model builder.
Do I need to upload my pitch deck to get started?
No — you can get started without a pitch deck. Create a company profile and explore the VC Directory right away. The Quick Score pitch analysis requires a PDF upload, but it's optional.

How does Quick Score work?
Upload your pitch deck PDF and our AI reads every slide, then scores it from 0 to 100 across six dimensions: Team, Market, Product, Traction, Financials, and Business Model. You receive a dimension-level breakdown with specific improvements you can make.
What file formats are supported?
We currently support PDF files up to 50 MB. We recommend exporting from PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides as a PDF before uploading.
How many times can I re-score my deck?
Free users get 5 lifetime Quick Scores. Founder plan users get unlimited Quick Scores. Pro users also get unlimited — plus 4 DIALECTIC Premium analyses per month.

What is DIALECTIC?
DIALECTIC is GRID's premium evaluation engine. It runs a multi-agent debate — one AI arguing for your startup, one arguing against — and synthesizes the exchange into a structured verdict: INVEST, PASS, or UNCERTAIN, with full reasoning. It's built on research from TU Munich and Earlybird Venture Capital.
What's the difference between Quick Score and DIALECTIC?
Quick Score is fast (60 seconds) and gives you a quantitative score with specific fixes per dimension. DIALECTIC is a deeper, qualitative evaluation that simulates an investment committee — it takes 2–3 minutes and produces a narrative verdict that a VC partner would recognize.
Is DIALECTIC available on the free plan?
No. DIALECTIC requires a Pro plan subscription (€29/month). You get 4 DIALECTIC analyses per month on Pro.
VC Matching
How does VC matching work?
Fill in your company profile (stage, sector, geography, revenue, team size, funding goal). Our system cross-references your profile against 4,100+ European and Israeli VC firms and ranks them by match score, surfacing the investors most likely to be interested in your startup.
How current is the VC database?
We update the database monthly with new funding announcements, portfolio additions, and partner changes. Each firm entry includes recent investments and partner-level contact information.
Can I browse the VC directory without signing up?
Yes — the public VC Directory at startupgrid.ai/vc-directory lets you browse firms with basic information. Match scores and partner contacts require a free account.
Pricing & Plans
Can I switch plans?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you're charged the prorated difference. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the next billing date.
Is there a free trial?
Founder and Pro plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, you'll be prompted to enter payment details to continue.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and SEPA debit (for EU bank accounts) via our payment provider. Invoices are available for annual plans.
