Aper Ventures is a co-investment fund that focuses on deep tech and hardware companies with the potential for rapid growth and global expansion, primarily in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). They leverage the experience of their team, gained from previous venture capital and angel investing activities in Poland and Europe, to support entrepreneurs with strong vision and ambition to develop large, international companies. They offer multiple investment vehicles, including Aper Ventures (Series A), Aper Angels (angel network management), Xplorer Fund (Seed/Pre-seed), and Meta Ventures Poland (Disinvestment phase). Aper Ventures operates on a co-investment model, often partnering with PFR Ventures and private investors. Aper Ventures fund capitalization is PLN 125m and investment size is EUR 1m to 5m. Xplorer's fund capitalization is PLN 30m and investment size is PLN 1m. Meta Ventures Poland fund capitalization is PLN 100m. Their current strategy focuses on hardware and deep tech companies, believing the next wave of innovation and unicorns will emerge from these sectors. They seek companies with innovative and well-defined businesses, interesting products, services or technologies, and plans for global expansion. The firm benefits from European funds (Operational Programme “Intelligent Development 2014-2020”) in the amount of PLN 80,400,000 allocated by PFR Ventures Sp. z o.o. under the project PFR Open Innovations. They provide access to an active European confederation of business angels networks via Business Angels Europe (BAE), and provide international investor relations, with team members involved in the management of foreign networks of business angels.
