The Family

The Family is a fellowship of founders that invests in ambitious startups with a global and scalable vision. Born out of a need to address the limits of the French ecosystem in 2012, specifically elitism, bureaucracy, and a lack of ambition, The Family aims to provide education, tools, and access to capital to courageous founders willing to create game-changing companies. They focus on fostering a culture of ambition, which they believe can be taught and cultivated through a supportive community of highly motivated and skilled founders. The Family provides mentorship and guidance while also connecting startups with a broader network of investors and advisors. They select 50 startups twice a year and offer a 6-week remote program in exchange for 5% equity. The program includes office hours with partners, founder's days, masterclasses with successful entrepreneurs, access to an alumni network, and various resources designed to prepare the companies for investment and Demo Day. Their approach involves actively participating in and improving the ecosystem, by working with corporates and public decision-makers. The Family believes that great entrepreneurs can come from anywhere and that access to resources is key, making its program global. They emphasize knowledge sharing and community support to facilitate the growth and success of their portfolio companies. The firm operates in an ecosystem where founders learn from each other and support one another's growth.
