Dutch Sport Tech Fund (DSTF) focuses on sustainable sports technology and data companies, investing early and exclusively in rapidly growing sport tech scale-ups. They aim to capitalize on the digital transformation of sports, health, and performance within a rapidly expanding global market. DSTF builds on a proven track record with DSTF1 and is continuing with DSTF2. The firm aims to improve athletes and teams as well as deepen the relationship between fans and sports organizations. It focuses on scalable, often software-driven innovations that are globally applicable and have a direct impact on health, performance and experience. The investment strategy of DSTF2 centers around a broader focus, which includes fan engagement, human performance & longevity, OTT & immersive media, data & analytics, and esports & fantasy sports. DSTF2 distinguishes itself through a stronger governance model and targets a gross IRR of ≥18% p.a., positioning itself as a scaled-up continuation of DSTF1. They invest in young start-ups and scale-ups with scalable and innovative sports technology products and data products. DSTF2 emphasizes clear and achievable exit routes from the initial investment. The fund seeks strong teams with proven execution power and a clear vision. Only companies with a proven product-market fit and growth potential are eligible. They focus on companies that use technology to fundamentally transform the world of sports and look at companies that can sustainably protect their technology, data, or algorithms. DSTF2 prefers companies with proven revenue models and recurring income streams.
