They seek out companies with proven technology and market traction, primarily in Europe, with initial investments ranging from 2 to 12 million euros in Series A rounds. The Blue Ocean strategy aligns economic development with measurable environmental impact, aiming to generate both positive systemic impact on the marine ecosystem (in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal #14) and competitive investment returns. The fund employs a rigorous impact assessment process, supported by scientific expertise from Ifremer and an independent impact committee, with impact indicators established for each portfolio company. A significant portion of the carried interest (50%) is tied to achieving impact objectives.
